The France legend tipped his 20-year-old heir to surpass him very soon after a remarkable rise through the ranks since he was allowed to leave Manchester United as a free agent.
“Compared to me, Pogba is more attacking, whereas I was more defensively-minded,” Vieira told France Football and Tuttosport.
“He pushes forward more and therefore scores more goals. He is also better on a technical level and is certainly more talented than I was.
“He is a player capable of scoring 10 to 15 goals every year. In a three-man midfield I think it suits his style of football.”
Pogba’s contract with Juventus expires in June 2016, but the club is already at a very advanced stage in renewal negotiations.
It’s reported agent Mino Raiola wants to include a buy-out clause, but the Bianconeri are against the idea.
