QPR boss Harry Redknapp says he still has hopes of signing Ishak Belfodil from Inter, even if those hopes are ever decreasing.

The forward was close to a proposed loan switch to the English Championship outfit to the end of the season, only for talks to seemingly stall and then break down.

Whilst Inter’s reported belief in keeping hold of the Algerian is playing a part in their accepting an offer from Monaco for Mauro Icardi, Redknapp has indicated that there is still a slight chance of Belfodil’s move being back on.

“We are hoping to take him on loan,” Redknapp has told Talksport today.

“I’m at the training ground and he is supposed to be here today. When they turn up, then you believe it.

“It’s been dragging on for about six weeks this, so I won't hold my breath. We will wait and see.”
