Gervinho insists Roma “believe in the Scudetto” despite an eight-point gap from leaders Juventus.

The Ivory Coast international scored the goal that allowed them to beat Juve in the Coppa Italia quarter-final on Tuesday.

That victory has boosted the Giallorossi’s confidence that they can also catch them in the Serie A table.

“Juve are very strong, but the season has a long way to go yet,” Gervinho told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s true they have a consistent advantage, but we’ll play the head-to-head game at the Stadio Olimpico and we believe in the Scudetto.

“There are many games to go and the championship is certainly not over.”

Gervinho has rediscovered his form under Coach Rudi Garcia, who also worked with him at Lille.

“Garcia is great because he manages to give every single player confidence, involving them all in the project.”
