Lorenzo Insigne’s agent has revealed that the striker’s celebration on Sunday was a response to ‘insults’.
The young forward has come in for some criticism all season after failing to find the net for Rafa Benitez’s men in the League.
However, after his goal yesterday against Verona the attacker cupped his hand to his ear – a gesture his representative confirmed was in reaction to the naysayers.

The young forward has come in for some criticism all season after failing to find the net for Rafa Benitez’s men in the League.
However, after his goal yesterday against Verona the attacker cupped his hand to his ear – a gesture his representative confirmed was in reaction to the naysayers.
“The Bentegodi was reserving insults to Lorenzo for being from Naples,” Antonio Ottaiano told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“And he responded to the insults with that celebration.
“Lorenzo is revved up and happy because it’s his first League. He feels liberated by it.”
