Rolando didn’t hesitate in accepting a move to Inter after the club appointed Walter Mazzarri as Coach.
The Portuguese international worked under Mazzarri at Napoli last season and was eager for a re-union even if he didn’t always play at the Stadio San Paolo.
“I was happy to come here because this is a great club,” the defender, used in eight Serie A games this season, told Libero.
“I thank Mazzarri for wanting me as it is always important that a Coach has faith in you,” added the signing who is on loan from Porto.
“He hasn’t changed with respect to last season, he still has that desire to win.
“Here he is trying to achieve what he did at Napoli, where he did a great job. But he needs time as this is only his first year here.”
Inter are currently fourth in Serie A, just two points behind Rafael Benitez’s Naples outfit.
