Udinese defeated QPR 2-1 in today’s pre-season friendly with goals from Dusan Basta and Naldo.

The two sides faced off this afternoon, though Antonio Di Natale missed out due to an injury, so ex-Watford hitman Matej Vydra started in the 3-5-1-1 system.

Basta took until the start of the second half to break the deadlock with one of his trademark rocket finishes under the bar.

Roberto Pereyra’s effort skimmed the upright before Maicosuel smacked his shot against the woodwork.

Maicosuel’s free kick found Naldo to turn in Udinese’s second goal of the game.

Frankie Sutherland came off the bench for QPR and made an immediate impact, dispossessing Danilo to sprint forward and beat goalkeeper Kelava.
