Genoa President Enrico Preziosi believes that the appointment of Fabio Liverani as Coach will 'bear fruit'.
The Grifone endured a torrid campaign last time out, finishing the season just outside the relegation place in 17th place.
But the Grifone's owner has claimed that the change in boss will come good, and has also commented on the renewal of Marco Borriello and the potential signing of Alberto Gilardino.
“Liverani? I wanted him as Coach last year,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport. “It is certainly a choice that will bear fruit.
“We will meet again to evaluate Marco Borriello. He has cost us a lot already fromm Roma, and Gilardino would cost less than half that.
“Renewing Marco would be of great expense to us, but we still want to keep him.
“With Gilardino we are at a standstill at the moment.”
