Italian newspapers claim that Milan have offered €20m for Mario Balotelli and his agent is in Manchester to discuss the deal with City.
Adriano Galliani had already hinted at a bid on Saturday, but reports are emerging that the Rossoneri tabled an offer worth €20m.
It would be payable in six instalments, therefore spreading the cost over several years so as not to put too big a dent in Milan’s coffers.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims a deal is in the works and that agent Mino Raiola has already flown out to England for talks with Manchester City.
Time is running out to secure a transfer, as the January window closes next Thursday.
The push for Balotelli comes after Galliani confirmed Milan were giving up on Kaka and Didier Drogba.
FIFA agent and Milan collaborator Ernesto Bronzetti further fuelled the reports by telling Italian media “I think by January 31 Balotelli will be at San Siro. It’s only a matter of €5m difference between the clubs.”
