The 22-year-old is seen as a potential star of the future, with outfits such as Inter and Juventus paired with his signature.
“I think something could happen in June,” Fernando Cosentino told TMW. “Myself and Gerry Piccolillo look after him and we’ll make a decision with Atalanta at the end of the season.
“We were contacted by a number of teams in January, but, in agreement with Atalanta, we decided to stay.
“Schelotto is doing really well, he’s proving to be an important player and he’s ready to take a step up in quality.”
When asked if Inter were in pole position to sign the Argentine-born Italian Under-21 international, Cosentino insisted his client had more than one option.
“It’s nice to hear the talk about Inter, but there are three or four teams who could be interested in Ezequiel,” he added.
“Saying that, Argentines do well for Inter.”
