Claudio Ranieri is anticipating a competitive Coppa Italia quarter-final between Inter and Napoli tomorrow night, but is eyeing a return to Rome for the final.

The Nerazzurri travel south to the San Paolo in midweek for a rematch between the two sides from their meeting at the same venue and same stage of the competition last season.

“It will be a challenge from the inside and out, a tough match between two teams that are strong,” reflected Ranieri to RAI. “That’s what awaits us tomorrow.

“Last year it was 0-0 after full time and then extra time. Then the Nerazzurri won on penalties. Tomorrow will be a really great game and we'll do everything to advance.”

Walter Mazzarri’s men have not lost at home to Inter in all competitions over 90 minutes since October 1997.

“Our opponents have their own dimension, both home and away,” commented Ranieri.

“How do you silence a stadium like the San Paolo? You can silence it only with a great performance, which is necessary to advance, and that's what we want to do.

The competition final is held in Rome’s Stadio Olimpico.

“That's where I'm from,” smiled Ranieri. “Of course I want to go to Rome…”
