Antonio Di Natale is hoping to be named in the Italy squad for Euro 2012. “I haven’t booked my holiday yet…”

The Udinese hitman is expected to be recalled to the set-up next month for the friendly against America.

The 34-year-old hasn’t played for Italy since the 2010 World Cup and he’s never been selected by current boss Cesare Prandelli.

However, injuries to Antonio Cassano and Giuseppe Rossi will see him handed another chance on the international stage.

“I need to just continue working as I am doing now,” the Udinese hotshot commented.

“It would be a great honour for me if I get the opportunity to play in the European Championship at the end of the season.”

Di Natale, Serie A top scorer for the past two seasons, has 14 top-flight goals in 18 games so far.

In 36 caps for his country, the forward has grabbed 10 strikes.
