The Coach has run into problems this season when chopping and changing around Champions League games, leading to many dropped Serie A points.

On Saturday evening his men go from Manchester City to Atalanta, while on Tuesday they face Juventus” data-scaytid=”60″>Juventus in the Coppa Italia.

“It is possible one out of Edinson Cavani and Pocho Lavezzi could be rested. Considering the way they played against City, it irritates me to have to leave one out,” confessed Mazzarri.

“I trust Goran Pandev, if he does get the nod. Goran is improving a great deal, though I’m not sure if he can handle the full 90 minutes.

“I will also take into account that Lavezzi is on a yellow card. They might come off the bench, as the most talented tend to have a stronger effect with fresh legs.

“The win over Manchester City was very tough on us. At the end some couldn’t even manage the usual post-match fatigue-relieving jog. Naturally I fear their tiredness, but tactically it isn’t easy to prepare in such a short space of time either.

“I am forced to make some changes. I will rotate the squad, but it won’t be as exaggerated as in other situations. This is a great chance for us, as I want Napoli to step up in quality.”

Atalanta would be in front of Napoli in the table without their six-point penalty, even if the Partenopei won their game in hand against Juventus.

“Atalanta are an excellent squad who were well-constructed, play with a relaxed state of mind and their confidence is high.

“German Denis and Luca Cigarini are two quality players who left Napoli because they wanted more playing time. I am happy they are doing well for Atalanta, even if I hope tomorrow night they fall asleep a little bit…”
