With a deal that is set to expire in 2013, the Brazilian-born Italian international is being paired with a return to Genoa at the end of the season.

The tough tackling midfielder, though, has no intention of leaving the Nerazzurri once this campaign comes to a conclusion.

“Thiago Motta’s intentions are very clear,” representative Alessandro Canovi told TMW on Wednesday afternoon. “He wants to stay at Inter.

“There is nothing new to report involving an extension to his present agreement, but we are in no rush between now and when it expires.

“We are just waiting to receive a call from Inter.”

The former Barcelona player, 29, joined the San Siro giants in 2009 along with then Genoa teammate Diego Milito.
