The Biancocelesti finished joint fourth last term, losing out on the Champions League only on goal difference, and are currently in second place.

“Lazio have the potential to win almost every game and aim high. We have not yet made the most of that potential,” said the Coach ahead of tomorrow's game with Parma.

“It is important that we win on home turf, as that has been a problem for us this season. I tried to rotate the squad in the Europa League to keep the legs fresh. After Parma we do need to take a break, then we can give our all until the end of 2011.”

Djibril Cissè has provided many assists in recent weeks, but his goal drought is beginning to affect his mood.

“It happens to all strikers and I'd like him to break through so that it won't become a problem,” noted Reja.

“After all, he is part of a collective and has settled into the mentality of Italian football. In Greece he played as a centre-forward, but I think he's better off seeking movement and pace.

“Parma play with six defenders, essentially, and make it very difficult to get down the flanks, but we have players who can create opportunities. The important thing is to step on to the field with the right attitude.

“This is a special match for two reasons. Firstly we have the Sandri Foundation mark on our shirts and secondly we need to get consistent results in front of our fans.”

The game marks the tragic death of Gabriele Sandri, a well-known Lazio supporter and DJ who was friends with many of the players.

He was killed in November 2007 when in the back of a car driving away from a scuffle in a motorway service station on his way to Parma-Lazio, as a police officer accidentally fired his gun.
