Wesley Sneijder pushed away reports of Manchester United interest. “I want to win with Inter again.”

The midfielder had been close to leaving San Siro over the summer and did not fit into Gian Piero Gasperini's tactics, but his rapport with the Nerazzurri has been revived by the arrival of Claudio Ranieri.

“When I saw Patrick Kluivert lift the Champions League with Ajax, I said to myself: ‘I want that too.'

“Thanks to Inter, I achieved that wish. I have managed all my objectives at club level and now want to win with Holland, but obviously I want to win with Inter again.

“Winning trophies is something you never get accustomed to,” Sneijder told Dutch magazine ELF Voetbal.

He was asked if this Holland team was the best in history, having reached the World Cup Final in 2010.

“I don't know, we'd have to prove it with facts. We are a side who fear nobody and can win. Don't forget in 2010 we proved that we are a united squad made of players who respect each other and can build something wonderful for the future.

“We've got to go into Euro 2012 looking for the victory, because Holland have a very good chance of taking the trophy.”
