Guus Hiddink has advised Chelsea to make a £30m move for Inter playmaker Wesley Sneijder, according to the Daily Mail.

The Blues appear to be moving closer to appointing Hiddink as their new boss after Carlo Ancelotti was sacked.

And the Dutchman has apparently told the club to outbid Manchester United and Manchester City for his compatriot.

Sneijder, 27, is reportedly keen to move to the Premier League this summer after a disappointing season in Italy. He has, however, insisted recently that he is happy to stay at Inter.

Sir Alex Ferguson sees the playmaker as the ideal replacement for the retiring Paul Scholes, but may be unwilling to meet his £200,000-a-week wage demands.

City are unlikely to have the same reservations, but Chelsea hope they will be seen as the more attractive option for the Champions League winner.

The Turkish national side seem resigned to losing Hiddink despite him having a year left on his deal, as the Blues are ready to shell out £4m to pay off his contract.

Chelsea have also been linked with Udinese forward Alexis Sanchez and remain keen on Brazil star Neymar.
