Javier Zanetti knows the Coppa Italia Final is “an historic occasion for Palermo,” but says Inter have just as much riding on it.

The Sicilians have never won the trophy and only came this far twice before in the 1970s, so tomorrow night's decider at the Stadio Olimpico is a huge moment.

“This is going to be a dangerous game, because Palermo are very difficult to face,” Zanetti told Inter Channel.

The Sicilians have never won the trophy and only came this far twice before in the 1970s, so tomorrow night's decider at the Stadio Olimpico is a huge moment.

“This is going to be a dangerous game, because Palermo are very difficult to face,” Zanetti told Inter Channel.

“Javier Pastore is a very important player for them, but he is certainly not the only danger man. We need the real Inter, the team that does not get it wrong in the big games.

“This is an historic occasion for Palermo, but in a certain way it is for us too. We want to end the season with our third trophy.”

Technically there would be four, as on top of the Italian Super Cup and Club World Cup won by Rafa Benitez in 2010, the Coppa Italia is accompanied this year by a Cup representing the 150th anniversary of Italy's foundation.

“There are two trophies to lift on Sunday. In that case, I might ask for help,” smiled the captain.
