Although he looks like he has done enough to keep the club in Serie A, he may be set for a summer exit.

According to stories in Spain today, Simeone may be on the verge of taking charge of Atletico Madrid for 2011-12.

The former midfielder, who featured for the Liga club during his playing days, is said to already be house-hunting in the Spanish capital.

Simeone had two spells with Atletico as a player, one between 1994 and 1997 before his moves to Inter and Lazio. He returned for two seasons in 2003.
