Edy Reja admits Lazio “have regrets” after their defeat against 10-man Inter. “It's still wide open for the Champions League race.”

The Biancocelesti would've leapt into third place with a victory this afternoon, but despite taking the lead early on with Julio Cesar sent off, they fell 2-1 at San Siro.

“It went badly for us. They scored with a free kick and took advantage of Giuseppe Biava's slip, so they had two chances and took them. All we got was chances and the woodwork,” said the Coach.

“It went badly for us. They scored with a free kick and took advantage of Giuseppe Biava's slip, so they had two chances and took them. All we got was chances and the woodwork,” said the Coach.

“If we consider this result and the fact Napoli lost, there have to be regrets for missed opportunities.

“It will be a very exciting end to the campaign, as it's still wide open for the Champions League race.”

Mauro Zarate had converted the penalty to put Lazio in front, but Wesley Sneijder and Samuel Eto'o turned it around.

“We had such a good start, but perhaps tried to over-play it to the gallery when 1-0 up and so wasted a few too many chances on the counter.

“If we go in front and do not maintain that initial intensity, then the result starts to put pressure on us and it's not right. We should've continued playing the way we did when it was goalless.

“I can be fairly satisfied with the performance, though obviously not the result.”
