The Bologna boss dives into the Emilia-Romagna derby this afternoon at the Stadio Tardini.

“I had the best times of my career at Parma, winning the Coppa Italia, Italian Super Cup and UEFA Cup,” smiled the Coach.

“I still remember when we were playing with Marco Di Vaio and Hernan Crespo up front. They'll be opponents now, but 11 years ago they'd stay behind after training to practice their shooting.

“I have such wonderful memories of Parma.”

Crespo has travelled Europe, but is back in a Gialloblu shirt and on fine form, while Di Vaio now represents Bologna.

It is a difficult time for the Rossoblu, who are on the verge of bankruptcy and have already been docked one point for financial irregularities.

“We know what to do and want to end 2010 on a positive note. A victory would give us some breathing space and once again prove the professional approach of this squad, which deserves 10 out of 10.”
