Lazio's Senad Lulic will reportedly avoid being charged with racism for his Antonio Rudiger comments, so will face a two or three match ban.

The midfielder declared that the Roma man “sold socks and belts” in Stuttgart, playing on the ethnic stereotype of a street seller.

Rudiger was born and raised in Germany, and has never been a street seller.

Despite this, La Repubblica is reporting that Lulic will be charged with unsporting conduct, rather than with racism.

The latter charge would have carried a ban of up to 10 matches, but if he is charged under article 1 instead, the Bosnian would be banned for just two or three games.
