According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Chinese investors themselves have delayed the purchase of the Italian club by requesting for another two weeks.
Apparently this is due to the pending resolution of some bureaucratic issues involved in the sale. One of these issues has to do with reshaping the structure of the club, and another with the legal authorisations to be obtained in China for exporting capital abroad.
The potential buyers have explained that moving such a large sum of money from a country like theirs is an operation that takes time. It's worth noting, however, that the purchase of Inter by the Chinese Suning group was completed in a matter of weeks.
The deal between Sonny Wu and Fininvest is not at risk of falling through, but until it is completed, Milan are virtually paralysed on the transfer market.
