Luciano Spalletti complained Roma “tend to lose our heads,” but Francesco Totti’s late goal against Atalanta won’t change his status.
The Giallorossi had been 2-0 up at Bergamo, then trailed 3-2 before Totti came off the bench to make it 3-3.
“We lost our balance, the game was full of counter-attacks and we put it back in doubt many times,” Spalletti told Mediaset Premium.

“We lost our balance, the game was full of counter-attacks and we put it back in doubt many times,” Spalletti told Mediaset Premium.
“We can’t seem to stay focused and at some moments we tend to lose our heads. We fail to get into the right positions, whereas the opposition know us and realise they can take their opportunities.”
Edin Dzeko missed another open goal today along with a couple of other great chances.
“You always compare Dzeko to Totti and he gets torn apart, but that’s not fair. Totti is a champion, so is Dzeko, but he’s being demotivated and affected by this criticism. Clearly from the height of his experience and status he ought to do something more.
“Totti’s goal doesn’t change anything for me. If he wants to be a player, he’ll be a player. If he shoots it’s a goal, but that’s not all that counts in modern football, there is also pace, stamina and effort.
“The team won nine games without Totti, which means Dzeko is valid too.”
