Massimo Moratti won’t rule out a return to leading Inter and reveals he “loved Alvaro Recoba more than Ronaldo.”
The former President spoke to Mediaset Premium to mark ‘El Chino’ Recoba’s 40th birthday.
“He is not just a simple football player. He is football. He did things that normal players don’t do,” said Moratti.
“I loved Chino more than Ronaldo, because he surprised me more. Ronie was already the greatest player in the world when he joined us and I admired him for that.

“Unfortunately that team didn’t win the Scudetto, but had the situation been normal then that Inter would’ve won many titles,” he added with a nod to the Calciopoli scandal.
“Let’s say they entertained us anyway.”
Moratti was asked about rumours he could take over from Erick Thohir as President of Inter again, or place his son in charge.
“I cannot say anything, we cannot tell the future.”
