However, Sky reports that a potential move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce has broken down, as they are unwilling to match the player’s wage demands.
Doumbia’s agent had opened talks with Marseille, and there was also interest from Swansea City and Sunderland, but it came to nothing.
Sky reports that Roma now face the possibility of being unable to sell the forward before the end of the transfer window, meaning he’ll be in Rome until the end of the season.
