Luciano Spalletti has flown out to Miami for talks with President James Pallotta, but there is not expected to be any statement released by the club today.
It’s a tense situation, as Garcia and everyone around him essentially confirmed the sacking.
The French tactician left the training centre today and arrived home, refusing to speak to reporters camped outside.
His girlfriend, Roma TV journalist Francesca Brienza, was more vocal in a message on Facebook.
“It’s disappointing. I experienced a different Coach, one who loved his Roma in every moment and never wanted to take anyone for a ride, because it would go against his ethics.
“However, we’ll remember all this in a while, I am certain of it. That’s what we are like!!! Now honour to whoever will arrive.”
She also told Sport Mediaset show Tiki-Taka “we forget so quickly, that’s what we’re like. Yet Spalletti is the same guy the club fired before.”
Despite this situation, Garcia is expected to lead tomorrow’s training session too.
If he doesn’t, then Primavera youth team Coach – and father of midfielder Daniele De Rossi – Alberto De Rossi will step in.
