Sky Sport Italia claims there was a meeting between Coach Garcia and directors at the Stadio Olimpico after this shock elimination.
Garcia told reporters he would “not resign, I’ll fight to the death for Roma.”
It’s believed he has been given one last chance, Sunday’s Serie A match with Genoa, to turn the season around.
If not, Luciano Spalletti or Walter Mazzarri are ready to take over during the Christmas break.
Meanwhile, the squad will not go into a pre-match training retreat to prepare for Genoa.
