Today the Gazzetta dello Sport confirms that Sampdoria have taken this as a prompt to call Udinese and ask for a discount in the original €12m deal agreed for his transfer.
Udinese apparently believe that Muriel will be back to full fitness by the middle of January.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the player's agent Alessandro Lucci is this morning meeting with representatives from Sampdoria today to resolve the disagreement.
