It is well known that Nerazzurri director Piero Ausilio had a lunch meeting with the Gunners this weekend and requested Podolski.
The German international is eager to complete the transfer after complaining “I am 29 years old and I want to play.”
Now Arsenal boss Wenger has dropped a big hint that Podolski may well be given his wish with a January exit.
“We have Mesut Ozil coming back at the beginning of January, so of course there’s a lot of competition for places.”
Ozil has been out of action since suffering a knee injury in early October.
It’s reported Inter will agree to take Podolski on loan for €1.5m and receive an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season for a further €6m.
Today Podolski was again left on the bench for Arsenal's Premier League match with West Ham.
