Neto's expiring contract had prompted a substantial deal of speculation, with indications that the Brazilian was unable to find terms with La Viola and Roma and Liverpool were loitering.
However as reported today by the Gazzetta dello Sport and confirmed by La Nazione and the Corriere Fiorentino, the 25-year-old has now agreed to a new €1.5m-salary four-year deal with the club.
It is understood that there will be another meeting after the game against Empoli to define further details before the deal is signed.
These reportedly include a buy-out clause between €10m and €12m being written into the contract.
