The Bernabeu goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a move to Milan this week, though it was said that the Rossoneri were exploring the possibility of taking him on a season-long loan.

However, the circumstances appear to have changed, with Los Blancos having just signed Keylor Navas and keen to cash in on a player who still has three years remaining on his contract.

According to reports in the Italian Press, Milan remain interested but a potential obstacle would be the Spanish shot-stopper’s wage demands.

He would reportedly command a three-year contract on annual wages of €2.5m in addition to bonuses.

Negotiations are said to still be ongoing between the Rossoneri and the player’s entourage, with Coach Pippo Inzaghi reported to be meeting Lopez in person later this week.
