The Championship side were seen as closing in on a deal for Roma’s young midfielder, only for talks to seemingly break down at the end of last week.
With a move to Latina now seen as imminent, the player has been accused by Leeds’ owner as having made ‘lots of demands’.
“He is not coming. He is a good player, a talented player, but I cannot sign someone like that,” Cellino has told the Yorkshire Evening Post this week.
“All last week it was demands about this, demands about that, asking for more and more so eventually I said ‘enough’.”
Meanwhile, reports in both England and Italy suggest that Juve defender Sorensen is closing in on a move to the Whites.
Both Genoa and Verona are listed as also interested in the 22-year-old, but Leeds reportedly hold an advantage in offering to take the player outright, rather than through an initial loan deal.
However, the Yorkshire Evening Post are reporting that Leeds are also only looking at taking the defender on loan to begin with. It is believed that a new set of talks on the deal are due from today.
The Dane earlier this summer turned down a move to Udinese as part of the deal that saw the Old Lady sign Roberto Pereyra.
