Inter are trying to sell Ezequiel Schelotto to Porto in exchange for Fernando, whose agent confirms “they are interested.”

Schelotto was clearly not part of Walter Mazzarri’s plans and was even left out of their pre-season tour of the USA.

He was linked with Sassuolo and Chievo, but reportedly turned these moves down, so today his agent was spotted talking to Alexandre Pinto da Costa – the son of Porto President Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Pinto da Costa had several meetings in Milan today, including with Inter directors.

It’s believed this was to discuss both Schelotto and a potential exchange with Fernando, the Brazilian midfielder whose contract expires in 2014.

“The Inter directors know us well and anything could happen,” Fernando’s agent Antonio Araujo told Calciomercato.it.

“We know that they like the player and are interested, but at the moment the situation has not changed. Fernando is playing for Porto with his usual professionalism and grit.”

It is also rumoured Porto could welcome back Alvaro Pereira from Inter.
