FIFA have contradicted Goran Pandev's claims that he voted for Jose Mourinho in this year's Ballon d'Or vote.
The Napoli forward suggested earlier this week that he was one of the people the Real Madrid Coach had spoken of that voted for the Portuguese tactician in the award, only for it to be given to someone else.
The governing body however, have hit back with a statement and have also published Pandev's vote, which shows the Macedonian voted for Vicente del Bosque, Roberto Mancini and Jurgen Klopp.
“The Football Federation of FYR Macedonia provided the vote for the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2012 of their national team Coach and national team captain by sending a fax on November 9, 2012, well within the official deadline to submit votes,” read the statement on FIFA’s official website.
“The fax was signed by both the national team coach and by the national team captain. The fax also had the signature of the secretary general of the federation and the official stamp of the national association.
“The voting form was therefore correctly submitted and the votes of the FYROM national coach and captain counted for the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2012 awards.”
