Lecce owners the Semeraro family have officially sold the club to Savino Tesoro after 18 years at the helm.
The Salentini were relegated this summer and will play next season in Serie B, but have been in financial problems for some time.
This evening the negotiations were finally concluded with a statement on the club website confirming Tesoro will be in charge from July 1.
The new patron is an unpopular figure among Lecce fans, as he is from the rival neighbouring town of Bari and lives in Bergamo.
The Tesoro family have already owned Pro Patria and Como, while they had failed bids for Torino and Livorno too.
