Milan pair Franck Kessie and Tiemoue Bakayoko could yet be banned as the FIGC will reportedly refer them to its Federal National Court.
According to Tuttosport, FIGC prosecutor Giuseppe Pecoraro has already closed his investigation into Kessie and Bakayoko, despite its sporting judge clearing the midfielders.
However, the newspaper warns they face being referred to the Federal Court for their conduct after Milan’s 1-0 win against Lazio last weekend, which saw them parade Francesco Acerbi’s jersey like a trophy.
That leaves them vulnerable to not only a heavy fine but also a ban, while the club and players in question would have chosen not to bargain any punishment.
Tuttosport adds the Rossoneri have been left ‘irritated’ with the FIGC for its handling of the case after President Gabriele Gravina called for the duo to be punished.
As it stands, Kessie and Bakayoko are available for Milan’s trip to Parma in Serie A on Saturday.
