Sky Sport Italia claim the 30-year-old is having trouble resisting yet more proposals from all over the world, including China and the UAE.
It comes after Independiente President Hugo Moyano confirmed he had been in talks with Atalanta for Papu.

“We have had a conversation for Gomez, but there is nothing definite in it,” Moyano told Radio 10.
Gomez spent most of his career in Italy with Catania and Atalanta, save for a brief one-season spell at Metalist Kharkiv in 2013-14.
According to Sky transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, the Orobici are trying to cover themselves for a possible departure by asking Sampdoria for Gianluca Caprari, but are told he is not for sale.
