Marco Parolo blamed the referee for Lazio’s 3-1 home defeat to Torino after the Ciro Immobile dismissal. “Hopefully we can play against 11 men and not 12.”
The game turned in first half stoppages when Immobile was angry at a penalty not awarded for Iago Falque’s handling offence, but instead the striker was sent off for jerking his head towards Nicolas Burdisso in what was interpreted as a reaction foul or attempted headbutt.

“Everyone in the stadium thought he was going to see the video of the penalty, but instead he opted for the red card, despite Burdisso telling him that there was no contact. He said he didn’t touch him,” Parolo told Mediaset Premium.
“Usually the players or Coaches make mistakes, this time the referee made an error. Then down to 10 men we got a bit unbalanced seeking the victory and were caught on the counter.”
Luis Alberto said in his half-time interview that he thought “some people don’t like Lazio being in the top four” of Serie A.
“It might well be. There have been too many things happening over and over again. We have to work hard and hope that we can play against 11 men and not 12.”
