High-flying Serie B outfit Torino have signed Palermo goalkeeper Francesco Benussi on Monday afternoon.
The Granata have announced that the custodian will join them on loan for the rest of the season.
Benussi will be unveiled to the media at the club’s Sisport training base at midday on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old, formerly of Lecce and Livorno, had made seven Serie A appearances for the Rosanero this term.
The Stadio Barbera outfit allowed him to move after they signed a 50 per cent share in Inter goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano who made his debut on Sunday.
Torino are currently joint top of Serie B with Sassuolo, a point above Pescara and two clear of Verona.
They needed a new ‘keeper after Ferdinando Coppola was ruled out for the rest of the campaign with knee ligament damage.
