Inter have identified Lazio’s Christos Mandas as an interesting target as they look to bring in a new goalkeeper in the upcoming transfer window.

The Nerazzurri are on the hunt for a new long-term shot stopper following their Scudetto success this season, looking for a second-choice option to partner Yann Sommer before allowing him to take over in the 2025-26 season, similar to what happened with Samir Handanovic and Andre Onana.

Inter had been hoping to find a deal for Bento but talks with Athletico Paranaense have stalled, so they’ve started to cast their net in Serie A, looking to other options like Genoa‘s Josep Martínez and Udinese‘s Maduka Okoye.

Mandas in Inter sights

Page six of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter have put Lazio goalkeeper Mandas in their sights following his impressive work in the second half of the season in Rome. He was forced to take over from Ivan Provedel following the Italian’s ankle injury and quickly impressed between the posts.

The Biancocelesti would be able to make a huge capital gain on the 22-year-old Greek shot stopper, who arrived last summer from OFI Crete for around €1.3m. He is now expected to cost around €15m and Simone Inzaghi is a fan of him.
