Hakan Calhanoglu offered Lautaro Martinez the chance to take a penalty kick against Torino, but the Argentinean striker refused it, allowing his teammate to score a brace at San Siro.

Inter are leading 2-0 against Torino at San Siro in their first match as Serie A champions.

Calhanoglu opened the account at minute 56 and just four minutes later, the Nerazzurri were given a penalty kick.

The Turkey international is Inter’s designated penalty-kick taker, but the 30-year-old asked Lautaro if he wanted to take the spot-kick given that El Toro hasn’t scored in Serie A since February 28.

As shown live by DAZN, Lautaro refused Calhanoglu’s kind offer and told him to go for it.

The Turkish midfielder didn’t disappoint from the spot, sending Vanja Milinkovic-Savic the wrong way and doubling Inter’s lead.

Lautaro has scored three penalty kicks this season but missed two, one against Atalanta in Serie A and the other one in a Coppa Italia clash with Bologna.
