Mile Svilar was the MOTM for Roma against Juventus last night, according to Italian sports papers, while Federico Chiesa was the best player for the Bianconeri.

Italian newspaper analyse last night’s 1-1 draw between Roma and Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico.

It was an entertaining match with both sides creating several opportunities to score more than just a goal apiece. It’s no coincidence that goalkeepers were among those with the higher ratings, and especially Roma’s Svilar was unanimously named Roma’s Man Of The Match with even higher grades than Romelu Lukaku, scorer of his first goal from open play against the Old Lady.

Tammy Abraham replaced the Belgian at minute 68, but he wasted a late chance, prompting Gazzetta and Corriere dello Sport to give the Englishman the lowest rating among the Giallorossi.

On the other hand, Juventus star Chiesa impressed and according to Gazzetta, the Italian put in his ‘best performance’ this season. He didn’t only provide the assist for Gleison Bremer’s equaliser, but he also hit the post in the second half and produced at least three more dangerous shots, plus a key pass for Vlahovic. Chiesa was “on fire” at the Stadio Olimpico, wrote Gazzetta.

The same can’t be said for his striking partner Vlahovic, who was rated 5/10 by all Italian sports papers. The Serbia international “wasted two good opportunities and struggled to cope with Ndicka’s marking. He disappeared and Allegri subbed him off,” wrote Corriere dello Sport.
