Gigi Di Biagio will remain as Italy Under-21 Coach for the next two years, confirmed Antonio Conte.
There were doubts over his position after the Azzurrini crashed out of the European Under-21 Championship in the first round, losing 2-1 to eventual trophy winners Sweden.
“Luigi really did a great job and Coaches should not be judged solely on their results,” Conte told the media.
“I think along with his staff he worked well, so will continue to be the Coach for the next two-year cycle.
