Napoli took the lead with a fortunate goal from Duvan Zapata and we made some mistakes. I wanted us to put more pressure on them, but in any case I say it was a good performance.

“If it weren’t for that great Mariano Andujar save in the final 10 minutes, we could’ve opened the game up against 10 men.

“Up until their goal, Napoli hadn’t created all that much.”

Sassuolo remain mid-table after a second consecutive defeat.

“We have not achieved safety yet, but I am satisfied with the way the team plays. Right now I am more worried about the injuries in defence. In these situations the team can become more united than ever.”
