The Swiss striker is being contested between the two Italian giants and the next few hours may result in decisive developments.

According to Alfredo Pedulla’s website, the player’s agent found a ‘positive conclusion’ to a summit held with representatives from Inter.

Later today they are expected to be meeting with a similar party from Juventus, to define and eventually compare the offers from the two clubs.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are offering to take the player on loan, with a purchase clause conditional to the meeting of the team's seasonal targets – the Scudetto and the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Bianconeri would be paying €3m for the loan and another €12m in case the purchase is followed through.

The Nerazzurri, for their own part, are looking at a transfer operation similar to the one that gave them Dodo from Roma – a loan deal with compulsory buy-in and a deferred payment over the next four years, totalling €15m.

Both offers meet Bayern's financial demands for the player, though Liverpool are reported as potentially able to join the fray with an offer of their own, particularly should they be able to sell Mario Balotelli.
