The Nerazzurri were held to a 2-2 draw by Verona this evening and Icardi scored a brace, but after the first goal he made a gesture with his finger to his lips, silencing the jeers.
“I don’t understand those who jeer,” Icardi told Sky Sport Italia.
“Things are not going the way we want them to at the moment, but on home turf we need to have the fans on our side.
“When we play at San Siro it feels like we’re the away team. There’s nothing we can do about it, if the people want to jeer then they are free to do so and we accept it. However, it is irritating.”
