The Tuscans had lost three on the bounce despite playing well and finally got back on track this afternoon.
“We made the most of our chances and above all there were no lapses in concentration, unlike the other games,” Sarri told Rai Sport.
“After going 2-0 up we allowed Lazio very little and controlled the end of the game. I compliment my lads for reacting to those difficult moments when we were left empty-handed this season.”
Federico Barba came in for the suspended Lorenzo Tonelli and scored his debut Serie A goal.
“Barba has grown so much from last year and I am glad he was on target, because this season we’ve had three centre-backs on the scoresheet and all of them in their first top flight campaign.”
