New Roma midfielder Salih Ucan is targeting winning the Scudetto and says his idol as a player growing up was Frank Lampard.
The 20-year-old has joined the Giallorossi on an initial two-year loan deal from Istanbul club Fenerbahce and this afternoon took part in a Twitter question and answer session with fans.
“I arrived a short time ago but I am already happy with all my teammates,” Ucan said of his acclimatisation to life in the Italian capital.
“Up until now I have bonded with Emanuelson most of all, he is in his first season like me.
“I can’t wait to see the support of the Curva Sud. I would particularly like to score in a derby, it would be a great emotion.
“I feel comfortable in Rome and I hope to soon have the time to get to know it better.
“A player who inspired me? I would say Lampard, he is a great.
“The objective of the team is clear – to win the Scudetto. From a personal point of view I want to make as many appearances as possible, score some goals and get some assists.”
