Azzurri name Fluminense XI

Italy’s starting line-up to face Fluminense tomorrow has been announced, while Andrea Barzagli and Gabriel Paletta today returned to training.

The Azzurri took part in their second full session since their arrival in Brazil ahead of their upcoming World Cup campaign.

Daniele De Rossi took a knock after a challenge with Andrea Ranocchia and was reportedly on the floor for five minutes, though he soon returned to work after an examination by the national team doctor.

Barzagli and Paletta returned after they shook off a fever and minor muscular problems respectively, though goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu remains out.

Cesare Prandelli has also announced the eleven players who will take to the field tomorrow against Fluminense in what will be the Azzurri’s final practise match before their World Cup opener against England next Saturday.

Italy line-up to face Fluminense: Perin; Abate, Paletta, Ranocchia, Darmian; Aquilani, Thiago Motta, Parolo; Cerci, Immobile, Insigne.
