“It’s spectacular to come here and win the Scudetto in my first season. It’s incredible, a dream for me, and now after such hard work we can enjoy it,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“We have many things that need to be improved, but work is the right path forward. We have Antonio Conte with us and hope to do better every year.”
They had already secured the title on Sunday thanks to Roma’s 4-1 defeat at Catania, but beat Atalanta 1-0 this evening in Turin.
“We had to play in order to win, as we can still set a new record for points in a single season.
“I am truly happy, as I was always told it would not be easy in my first year in Italy, but I’m happy with the work I did for the team.”
